Playing In The Rain

When I was a teenager I would frequently make trips to local cemeteries to explore and take photos. Once in a while I was lucky enough to be there during a rain shower.
The other day I ended up at my favorite cemetery as a thunderstorm rolled in.
What a treat!
I can only imagine what I looked like to passers by...
Running around barefoot.
I'd jump in the car and drive over to another spot... dash out with the umbrella and my camera phone.
 Got totally soaked.
On one of the trips back into the car the breeze caught my umbrella, as I wrestled for my keys I set off the car alarm... but managed NOT to drop my phone (thankfully!). If there was anyone watching from the bushes, they were most certainly entertained.

I absolutely LOVE this palm tree! I photographed it 9 years ago, it hasn't changed one bit in that time.

This is my favorite statue headstone.
Stunningly beautiful. And heartbreaking. The dedication is to a Mother.

I spotted this stump and had snapped a photo before I saw the heart in the center. :) How beautiful is that!?

The simple headstones are so touching.
I try not to pay close attention to dates, unless I'm feeling brave.
The graves of children tug at my heartstrings. This one spoke my name.  I am a Jessica Louise.

 Well, there you have it!
My rainy day play.
Do you have a silly story of the great lengths you have gone to for the sake of art? The perfect shot?
I'd love to hear about it!!
